Islamic Inscribed Order Amulet
8th-9th century AD
A bronze rectangular order with notched ends and lug to one edge, punched-point two-line inscription to each broad face mentioning a local governor's name. 34 grams, 41mm (1 3/4"). Fine condition.
Provenance
From a private UK collection, acquired on the London art market 1990-2000.
