Islamic Silver Ring with Gemstone
13th century AD
A silver ring comprising a narrow flat hoop, drum-shaped bezel with hatching to the sidewall, claw setting for an ellipsoid carnelian cloison. 4.28 grams, 23.71mm overall, 15.95mm internal diameter (approximate size British F 1/2, USA 3, Europe 4.30, Japan 4) (1"). Fine condition.
Provenance
Property of a West London businessman, formed in the late 1980s-early 1990s.
