WWI era US African-American 371st Infantry Regiment inscribed mess kit, named to San Detch 371 INF. On the lid and on the handle is inscribed W-G 558. The 371st Infantry fought hard in WWI and succeeded in helping the French to their sovereignty for another 22 years.
