Demortain - Latona Fountain
This elegant, folio engraving is from Gilles Demortain & Pierre Le Pautre's Les plans, profils, et elevations, des ville, et Château de Versailles, avec les bosquets, et fontaines... dessinez et gravez en 1714 et 1715 or Les plans, coupes, profils et élévations de la Chapelle de Chasteau Royal de Versailles.. The work was published in Paris by Demortain between 1716 and 1724. The engravings from this work featured stunningly detailed views of the gardens and fountains of Versailles. They represent Versailles at the end of Louis XIV's life and were originally drawn in 1714 and 1715.
The work is in good to excellent condition overall. There is a small, closed tear in the lower margin. There may be some professional repair / restoration at the fold out plates from this work. There may be a few minor imperfections to be expected with age. Please review the image carefully for condition and contact us with any questions.
