Amulet for Safeguarding of the Home, from Rav Yeshayale Kerestirer.
Iron plate, upon which the kamia is engraved- an amulet known for safeguarding by Rav Yeshayale Kerestirer, with an etching of the Rav's face.
Written on the first line is: ילשת באשר בוליב which is an acronym of the following pesukim, in which the first letter of each word makes up the abovementioned line (not in order):
יהי שלום בחילך שלוה בארמנותיך (Psalms, 122,7)
(Psalms, 91, 10) לא תאנה אליך רעה ונגע לא יקרב באהליך
On the second line: והאפה הבמו"ג ולה
An acronym for: ואת האנשים אשר פתח הבית הכו בסנורים מקטן
(Bereishis, 19, 1) ועד גדול וילאו למצא הפתח
Rav Yitzchak Weiss, Av Beis Din of Vrbove revealed the pesukim for which these lines are acronyms, in his sefer Aleph Ksav, volume 2, letter 515.
The holy Rav Yeshaya Steiner, known as Rav Yeshayale Kerestirer (5612-5685) was a renowned pillar of tzeddaka and chessed, as well as a miracle worker. His house was open to all, as was his table, upon which many would come and enjoy a meal. He gave enormous amounts of money to tzeddaka and accomplished a great deal in assisting the ill and needy and offering them his blessing. All that he would say- would be done.
