On title page: Signature of the Renowned Gaon, one of Hungary's great Rabbonim and Tzaddikim, Rav Naftali HaCohen Schwartz, Av Beis Din of Mád.
Rav Naftali HaCohen Schwartz (5606-5657) Av Beis Din of Mád, author of "Beis Naftali". Son of the Gaon known as the "Kol Aryeh", author of the Beis Naftali Responsa, Beis Naftali al HaTorah and Shaar Naftali on the Avudraham. It has been said about him: "Not hundreds of pages nor the efforts of all pens would be capable of describing his righteousness and greatness". His nephew, the Gaon from Șimleu Silvaniei wrote the following about him: "I was astonished at his great humility and good heart, and his greatness in kindness, charity and actions of kindness- both monetarily and physically, without measure, to an incredible extent, he made the effort to do kindness to those in need, with mesirus nefesh". His biography is reported in the sefer "Toldos Beis Naftoli".
On page before title page is the stamp of Rav Moshe Leib Ehrenreich ben Rav Chaim Tzvi Ehrenreich, Av Beis Din of Mád.
Additional notations that the sefer belongs to Rav Shmuel Nosson Neta Shapira.
