Jerusalem [1879-1880], first edition.

The back of the title page bears a handwritten dedication to philanthropist Reb Yehudah Aryeh Lehren, head of the Pekidim V'Amracim (the recipient's name is partially crossed out).

Devar Hashem MeiYerushalayim. The virtue of Torah, the Jewish Nation and Yerushalayim, the holy city, by Rav Aharon Moshe Ferrera.
Yerushalayim [1873]. First edition.
Poem in honor of the Rashash, Rav Shalom Sharabi, on the last page.
Large "Mizrach" illustration, shaped like a Simchas Torah flag, on the back of the title page. On leaf [2,b], a large illustration of the Kosel.
Includes a blue jacket-title page with illustrations of Kever Shmuel HaNavi and Kever Rochel Imeinu.
The back cover features illustrations of the Kosel, Mearas HaMachpela and more.

The author, mekubel Rav Aharon Refael Chaim Moshe Ferrera [d. 1887], was a brilliant expert in kabbalah who spent his days in the Beit El Yeshivah for mekubalim. His works include: Toldos Aharon U'Moshe and Efer Yitzchak; Devar Hashem MeiYerushalayim (inc.); Ohev Shalom V'Rodef Shalom (inc.), Me'il Kadosh; and Bigdei Yesha.
"We cannot appreciate or discuss the greatness of Aharon zy"a, until his death, he did not sleep for the most part at chatzos. As a lion, he would get up at chatzos to the beis medrash and encouraged his friends to the same, in addition to what was said from his youth in Salonica…(from the eulogy of Rav Akiva Yosef Schlesinger).
