Cased Memel Commemorative Medal with Matching Spange
Great example of the most difficult to find medal of the Flower Wars Medal trio (Austria Anschluss Medal, Return to Memel Medal and Sudentenland Medal). This one comes also with its case of issue and the original ribbon as well as the matching spange for daily wear. All in excellent condition.The Return of Memel Commemorative Medal (Medaille zur Erinnerung an die Heimkehr des Memellandes; 22. März 1939) was a decoration of Nazi Germany awarded during the interwar period, the last in a series of Occupation Medals to commemorate the return to the Memmeland territories.
