Adolf Hitler Signed Photo in Silver Presentation Frame
Silver engraved Adolf Hitler presentation frame with an autographed Hoffmann studio portrait. It was presented to the German bobsled team after they won a world competition in 1934. There is a national eagle with a swaztika at the top of the frame and the engraving translates to; “World Championship in four-person Bobsled, Garmisch, Germany 1934. Honorary Award Given by Reich Chancellor Adolf Hitler. The signed photo is dated in Berlin on 15 March 1934. The same German bobsled team would place very poorly (7th) two years later in the 1936 Berlin Olympics. The names of the team members were Hanns Kilian, Fritz Schwarz, Hermann von Valta, and Sebastian Huber. Frame was made by silver maker Weinranck & Schmidt of Hanau. Frame measures around 8.5 inches by 12.5 inches and photo is around 6.6 inches by 9.5 inches.
