Rare Armband "Sonderlager" - Special Camp - Named
Rare SONDERLAGER armband. Probably worn by prisoners in a special prisoners camp run by the SS. The armband comes from the city Znojmo (Znaim) from Czech Republic-former Protektorat Bohmen und Mahren, from the family of Mrs Ilka Pomil (surname after marriage, born 26.5.1936). The majority of her family was imprisoned in Conentration Camps. Made of ocher cotton with printed black text “SONDERLAGER” which means "Special Camp". Armband is sewn with black, white and ocher thread. Monogram of the holder of the armband in the inner part. Measures: width approx. 12.5984 in, height approx. 2.3622 in, worn piece in near mint condition. *******************This lot will be shipped from our office in Europe********************************
