Harry A Davis, Jr (1914-2006) Group , Drawings, , WWII Era including: watercolor composition- two figures, Herron School, ca 1936037; sketch for idea for Prix de Rome, 1937; pencil drawing of woman, Vairano Patenora, Italy 1944; pencil and w/c of women fleeing Italian Army, 1942; and pencil sketch, "Follies", all unframed After Davis enlisted in the Army in 1942, he designed camouflage in North Africa and in 1944 became a combat artist with the Fifth Army Historical unit in Italy. Most of the drawings and paintings completed during this time are property of the War Department at the Pentagon.
