School of Sassoferrato Oil on Canvas St. Giovanni
Attributed to school of Giovanni Battista Salvi da Sassoferrato (Italy, 1609-1685). Oil on canvas, Saint Giovanni Battista. Unsigned, with paper label with info on verso. 24 5/8" x 19 3/4" (with frame 35 3/4" x 30 3/4"). Relined, crazing throughout, varnished, some evidence of inpainting on left and right sides; chips, losses and wear to frame.
