'Chezkat Chanut' Deed Signed by Two Rishon LeTziyons and Others. Jerusalem, 1834

'Store Occupation' deed for a store rented by a Jew, from an Arab, in the Old City market; authorized by the Jerusalem Beit Din.

Jerusalem leaders who signed on the deed:
The Rishon LeTziyon Rabbi Yonah Moshe Navon [d. 1841] was a leading Jerusalem sage, a paternal grandson of Rabbi Yonah Navon, author of Nechpah BaKesef. He wrote glosses on his grandfather's book (as mentioned on the title page of Part II). He traveled as an emissary for Jerusalem in 1799. He served in the Jerusalem rabbinate from 1836 until his passing.
The Rishon LeTziyon Rabbi Chaim Avraham Gagin - known as Rabbi Aga"n [הרב אג"ן] [d. 1848] was a leading sage in Jerusalem and rosh yeshivah of the Beit El yeshivah for Kabbalists. He served as the Rishon LeTziyon after Rabbi Yonah Moshe Navon's passing. He wrote Chukei Chaim, Menorah HaTehorah and more.
The kabbalist Rabbi Chaim Daniel Shmuel Pinso [d.1841] was the author of Sefer Shem Chadash on the Yereim (Jerusalem 1843). He was one of the sages of the Kabbalists' yeshivah Beit El; son of Rabbi Avraham Pinso, author of Apei Zutrei and Mishpat Katuv; and disciple of Rabbi David Pardo. His Kabbalistic novellae are brought in Emet L'Ya'akov by the Mahari"sh Niño.
