Letter from the Gaon Rabbi Shimon Menashe Chaikin, Av Beit Din of Hebron
In his letter, Rabbi Chaikin confirms the receipt of five shillings from Rabbi Shmuel Salant for the Torah institutions in Hebron. [Hebron, 1883?]
Korot HaItim tells of financial friction between the Talmud Torah in Hebron and the Torah institutions in Jerusalem, regarding funds sent from abroad. Before us is a receipt from the rabbi of Hebron for funds for the Torah institutions.
