Ahavat Tziyon - Early Orthodox Zionist Anthology, Compilation Praising the Land of Israel with Words from the Son of the Chatam Sofer. First and Only Edition. Krakow, 1895
Compilation in praise of the Land of Israel, including a letter from Rabbi Shimon Sofer of Krakow, son of the Chatam Sofer, from 1883, in which he speaks highly of the colony (moshavah) next to Safed, Rosh Pinah. He supports contributing to it. He also writes that there is no concern that donations to the new colonies will damage contributions the Old Yishuv ("And only some reckless youths that bear a grudge against the colonists for some private reason, wrote and asked others to sign as well on letters of indictment, and distributed them to the public").
