Kitzur Likkutei Mohara"n by Rabbi Nachman of Breslov. Rare Early Edition

Kitzur Likkutei Mohara"n "from the first edition and the second edition ... full of mussar, fear of G-d and proper conduct ... that come out of the wondrous essays that are brought in the great work Likkutei Mohara"n." Printed without name and place of printing. [Zolkiew/Lemberg 1849?]

Early edition of the book Kitzur Likkutei Mohara"n, with a compilation of practical topics related to Divine service according to the order in Likkutei Mohara"n. In the book Yemei Moharana"t (p. 12, section 7), Rabbi Nathan of Breslov writes about this book: In the year 1805 ... [Rabbi Nachman of Breslov] ordered me to compile  the counsel and service that can be gleaned from each of his Torah thoughts ... and this was good in his eyes, and this is the book Kitzur Likkutei Mohara"n. When he read from it, he waved his head and said these words: A shein tzeitel [a good note], and I understood that he was very pleased with what was written there ... happy is he who possesses it."

As stated, the book was printed without the name or place of print (as were many Breslov books of the 19th century, due to internal and external persecution, as is known) and bibliographers were perplexed as to how to record it. Scholar G. Scholem in his book Eleh Shemot (p. 33, no. 121) wrote that this edition was printed in Zolkiew or in Lemberg c. 1850, R. N. Tz. Koenig, in his book Neve Tzaddikim (p. 134) wrote: Zolkiew, 1849. The National Library lists: Zolkiew or Lemberg, c. 1855.
