Tehillim. Antwerp. 1581. Especially Rare. Original gilt leather binding
Book of Tehillim printed with close examination by Christopher Plantin in 1581 in the great city of Anvers [Antwerp]. Written on the title page: "Psalmi."
Small format Tehillim, printed on its own and not as part of the Tana"ch. With vowelization and cantillation, and with text as read [קרי] and as written [כתיב]. Title page inside a beautiful border.
Rare book. The copy in the National Library is from the Valmadonna collection.
Rare early Tehillim in very fine condition.
[126] leaves, 11 cm. Original gilt leather binding. Very minimal aging stains.
