After the Ba'al Shem Tov's passing, Rabbi Uziel joined his disciples Rabbi Menachem Mendel of Premishlan, Rabbi Avraham of Podlask - author of Chessed L'Avraham and Rabbi Nachman of Kassov. He closely adhered to the maggid of Mezeritch and was considered one of the Chevrayah Kaddishah.
