Sharp Letter Handwritten by the Gaon and Kabbalist Rabbi Yudel Rosenberg to the Gaon Rabbi Yosef Chaim Sonnenfeld

"Everything that his honor suffers from persecution by his enemies in the Holy City I suffer from persecution here ... from those who refer to themselves as

'Ra-Bonim.'"

Interesting letter entirely handwritten by the gaon and Kabbalist Rabbi Yehudah Rosenberg, author of Yadot Nedarim, to the rabbi of the Land of Israel, the gaon Rabbi Yosef Chaim Sonnenfeld. Montreal, 1924.

Rabbi Yosef Chaim Sonnenfeld requested from Rabbi Yudel that he assist the Kupat HaRabbanim in Jerusalem. Rabbi Yudel answers him that he cannot be of much assistance, yet he did send him a donation. At the end of the letter, he writes about his hope to live in the Land of Israel. However, in the midst of the letter, he tells Rabbi Yosef Chaim about his distress about what is happening to the Jews in Canada:

"Everything that his honor suffers from persecution by his enemies in the Holy City I suffer from persecution here ... from those who refer to themselves as 'bad boys.' Everything I repair, they destroy ... the klipah has the upper hand and we are among the persecuted. "

Refer to the Hebrew catalog text for a brief biography of the gaon Rabbi Yehudah Yudel Rosenberg.

He authored many books on halachah and Kabbalah. His important Torah work, Yadot Nedarim on Tractate Nedarim, was well-received by the Torah world and printed in many editions. He authored the book series Zohar Torah - the first translation of the Zohar into Hebrew, and the book Raphael HaMalach on practical Kabbalah. Alongside this are the books HaGolem MiPrague - the Mahara"l of Prague's wisdom, and more. Opinions are divided with respect to the veracity of the making of the golem, and on the goal of their composition.

[1] leaf, stationery, 27x21 cm. Handwritten and signed by him.

Fine-very fine condition. Filing perforations. Tiny tears in the folds, far from the text.
