Karnayim with Rabbi Shimshon of Ostropoli's Commentary. Zhitomir, 1805. Rare Sefer

First edition of the commentary by Kabbalist and darshan Rabbi Eliezer Fischel of Strizov. For more about him, refer to: Wunder, Galicia, I, 211-212.

One of the first sefarim printed in Zhitomir. The press in Zhitomir began operating in 1804, and this sefer was one of the first printed there.

Rare work, especially complete. Kabbalah scholar Gershom Scholem wrote: This publication is extraordinarily scarce. I have not seen a complete copy over more than twenty years. This sefer is not found in the National Library in Jerusalem.

Specifications: [1], 50 leaf, 22 cm.

Fine-very fine condition. Slight tear at the bottom of the title page. Kabbalistic diagram on the final leaf.
