At the end of Orach Chaim, there are novellae on Aggadah, including a full discourse delivered upon the passing of Emperor Franz, detailing the lineage of all the emperors in order, with extensive details spanning over four large pages!!

The author, the Admor Rabbi Menachem Mendel Panti of Daash (1818-1885), was the son of Rabbi Yechezkel Panti, author of Mar'eh Yechezkel. Rabbi Mendel was a close disciple of the Chatam Sofer, who greatly praised him and called him "Der Zeidener Bochur" (the silk boy) and would walk with him on Friday evenings. He was the only student in the Pressburg Yeshiva who wore Chassidic attire. He was present at the famous revelation of Eliyahu in the presence of the Chatam Sofer. Following his marriage, he became close to the Yismach Moshe, and later served as the rabbi of Daash. From 1858, he served as the Admor. Due to his influence, many in Hungary began praying in Nusach Sephard, and Daash became a Chassidic stronghold. For decades, he led Orthodox Jewry in Transylvania and was one of the greatest Admorim of his generation. His works include Ma'agalei Tzedek, Sha'arei Tzedek, Mishpat Tzedek, and Avnei Tzedek.
