Avi Ezri – With a Dedication in the Handwriting of Maran HaRav Shach
Avi Ezri, explanations on various topics according to the order of the Rambam (Seder Hafla'ah, Zera'im, Avodah, Korbanot, Taharah), by Rabbi Elazar Menachem Man ben Rabbi Azriel Shach. Bnei Brak, 5722 [1962].

Maran Rabbi Elazar Menachem Man Shach (5658–5762 [1898–2001]) was the great transmitter of the Lithuanian yeshiva tradition from pre-Holocaust Europe to the yeshiva world in Eretz Yisrael. He served as Rosh Yeshiva of Ponevezh and as the President of the Moetzes Gedolei HaTorah of Agudat Yisrael and later of Degel HaTorah. One of the greatest Jewish leaders of the 20th century, beginning in the 1970s, Rabbi Shach led the Lithuanian-yeshiva community, which recognized him as the Gadol HaDor. He authored the multi-volume work Avi Ezri, his magnum opus.
