She'elot u-Teshuvot Me'il Shmuel, by Rabbi Chaim Shmuel Florentin, with collected writings and some novellae on Sefer HaMitzvot of the Rambam. Salonika, 1725 (תפ"ה). First and only edition.
The author was among the greatest scholars of his generation in Salonika, and a teacher of students. After falling ill, he was given the additional name Chaim.
A rare book.
Ownership inscriptions on the title page, and a marginal gloss on leaf 27 (second foliation count).
[2], 111, [marked as "Aleph"], 44 leaves. Printed on thick paper. 30 cm.
Condition: Very good. Minor tears affecting text on the first four leaves. Simple binding.
