A unique copy, differing from the standard editions!

In this copy, the title page reads: "Sefer Mevo She'arim… that the Shechinah may rest upon our handiwork… Shlomo Baruch ben R' David Tzofiof HaKohen S"T, Moshe Pinchas Tzofiof HaKohen S"T." That is, in this version, the name of R' Menachem Menchin Heilperin and his introduction beyond the title page are omitted.

On [2] leaves added at the beginning of the book, the "Introduction by the Son of the Publisher, " R' Shlomo Baruch David Tzofiof HaKohen, is printed. In the introduction, he acknowledges R' Menachem Menchin Heilperin "who labored and toiled… in editing the book… and arranged the 'glosses and commentaries, '" and details his public activities.

On the verso of leaf [2], there is a printed dedication from the two aforementioned publishers, with a handwritten inscription filled in for the wise and wealthy Rabbi Yehuda HaLevi.

Overall good condition. Rough repairs to tears on the first two leaves. Some wear and stains. Unbound.
