LeBron James (b. 1984) is, according to many opinions, the best active basketball player in the world. He was destined for greatness from an early age - at just 18 years old, he was first overall draft pick of 2003. The star-studded James, who plays the small forward position, is fourth top scorer of all time in the NBA. He earned the title Rookie of the Year in 2003/4 and starting in 2005 has been included every season as one of the best five of the year in the NBA. He has participated consistently in the All-Star game (15 times), three times earning the MVP title at the All-Star game, four times MVP of the regular season, and three times MVP of the finals. He has won three NBA championships - two with Miami Heat and one with Cleveland. He presently plays with the Los Angeles Lakers.
