A protective coin from the holy mason, Rabbi Avraham Yechiel Fish, with his sacred handwritten signature.
The righteous Rabbi Avraham Yechiel Fish [passed away on 13 Elul, 1998], known as the "Holy Mason, " was born in the town of Tarnów in Galicia and was closely associated with the Rebbes of Stutchin and Ropshitz, of blessed memory. During the horrific years of the Holocaust, he was miraculously saved when, at the very moment the Germans were about to shoot him, the house was suddenly plunged into darkness, allowing him to escape through a window. Holocaust survivors recounted that anyone who stayed near Rabbi Avraham Fish was saved.
For most of his life, Rabbi Avraham Fish was a hidden tzaddik, concealing himself as a simple construction worker. He was part of a group of hidden righteous individuals who gathered around the "Holy Cobbler, " Rabbi Moshe Yaakov Rabikov. Before his passing, the Baba Sali revealed to his close disciples and followers that Rabbi Avraham Fish from Tel Aviv would continue to bless and bring salvation to the Jewish people. The hidden tzaddik, Rabbi Mendel from Bnei Brak, testified that Rabbi Avraham was the leader of the 36 hidden righteous men.
