Lot of [2] Blessing Coins from Two Jerusalem Tzaddikim and Founders of a Hasidic Dynasty

Two coins that were blessed and given [separately] by two of Jerusalem’s holy and righteous tzaddikim, father and son: the holy gaon Rabbi Binyamin Rabinowitz, the Admor of Mishkenot HaRo’im, of blessed memory, and his son, the holy gaon Rabbi Akiva Rabinowitz, the Admor of Parysów, of blessed memory.

The coins come from the estate of a well-known donor, a supporter of their institutions [his name is kept confidential by the auction house]. Both coins are placed in a shared envelope, on which the recipient wrote:

"A 10-shekel coin that the tzaddik R' Binyamin Rabinowitz blessed on Chanukah 2002."

"A 5-shekel coin that R' Akiva Rabinowitz blessed on Chanukah 2002."

Very fine condition.

The Admor Rabbi Binyamin Rabinowitz, known as Binyamin HaTzaddik [1912-2002], was a dayan, Rosh Yeshiva of Toldot Aharon, and a member of the Badatz of the Edah HaChareidis. He was a grandson of the Admor Rabbi Yehoshua of Parysów, son of the Holy Jew of Peshischa. His writings were published as Imrei Binyamin.

In 1979, he founded the Mishkenot HaRo’im community for Jerusalemites of Hasidic descent who did not belong to any specific community. After years of wandering, he established the community's headquarters at the Kahal Yere’im – Chassidim Beit Midrash on Meah Shearim Street. His son, the Admor Rabbi Chaim Rabinowitz, continues his legacy as the leader of Mishkenot HaRo’im.

His son, the Admor Rabbi Chananya Yosef Akiva Rabinowitz [1939-2024], was the Admor of Parysów, a kabbalist, and author of Hasidic and kabbalistic works. He led kollels dedicated to the study of Kabbalah and for many years studied Kabbalah in chavruta with Rabbi David Batzri.

Born in Jerusalem as the second son of Rabbi Binyamin Rabinowitz, founder of Mishkenot HaRo’im, he was closely associated with the Admorim Rabbi Yisrael Friedman of Husyatyn and Boyan, and later with Rabbi Yechiel Yehoshua Rabinowitz of Biala.

During his father’s lifetime, he established the Darkei Tzedek Beit Midrash in the Batei Warsaw neighborhood of Jerusalem. Upon his father’s passing, he renamed it Parysów and began serving as an Admor, being a direct patrilineal descendant of Rabbi Yehoshua Asher of Parysów.

Among his prominent disciples:

Rabbi David Eichenstein, the Admor of Borshtin
Rabbi Amram Hoffman, senior leader of the Sha'ar HaShamayim Kabbalist Yeshiva
Rabbi Yechezkel Bing, Rosh Yeshiva of Divrei Shalom
Rabbi Aharon Yisrael Chaim Weiss, the Admor of Spinka Ganei Gad, Bnei Brak
